About Eagle Eye

Who We Are & What We Do
Eagle Eye News is a student television news organization at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Each week during the fall and spring semesters, we produce various shows covering local news, events and sports. Everything about the show is entirely produced by students, and we're the only television news program in Alabama to do so.

Where Our Program is Aired
Our Program is broadcast Monday - Friday at 10a, 12:30p, and 7p on Auburn Campus Cable Channel 6 and in High Definition all day on Channel 6-1.
Our LIVE show airs on this website and AU Cable 6 Thursday nights at 7pm. (All times Central)

Our History
Eagle Eye News started back in 1992 as a subsidiary of the University Program Council (U.P.C.) with analog equipment and linear editing systems. Today, we're our own student organization with a completely digital pipeline and non-linear editing systems incorporating industry-standard software. In 2009, We upgraded our switcher to the Tricaster Studio allowing us to broadcast live online for the first time. Over the Christmas break from 2009 - 2010 a fiber optic cable was installed connecting Eagle Eye Television to Auburn University Cable. We also upgraded our switcher to the new Tricaster XD300 and broadcast our first High Definition broadcast live on February 1st, 2010. We have now completed the move to HD, shooting on Panasonic HMC150's and JVC 700U's. We are currently in the process of upgrading our automation capabilities in order to deliver a broader variety of shows on a regular schedule.
